Cheshire Connect would like to welcome Martin Howlett as our new Chief Executive Officer. We would like to thank Donna Okell who is stepping down after five years of successfully leading the charity.
Martin brings a number of dimensions to the charity in its next stage of development. Having senior leadership experience in education, business and third sector, Martin will be working with our team to lead the charity from strength to strength. Upon appointment Martin said,” I am delighted to be appointed to the new lead role for Cheshire Connect” and added, “It is a real privilege to be working with such a passionate and impactful organisation. I am looking forward to working with the team in both developing the work of the organisation and also continuing to make an outstanding contribution and difference to the communities we support”.
As the charity moves into its next stage of development, Martin will be using his own passion to expand the excellent outcomes that Cheshire Connect achieve. Trustees are looking forward to working with Martin to utilise both his understanding of the sectors and his passion for making a difference through collaboration.
The Chair of the Board of Trustees, David Briggs, MBE, KStJ, Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire, is excited about the future of the charity and is looking forward to further successes in linking businesses in long term relationships with the valuable work that charities do across Cheshire and Warrington. The Lord Lieutenant added, “The trustees are delighted to appoint Martin to this key role within Cheshire Connect. As a charity, our team achieve excellent outcomes in the crucial area of forming productive relationships between businesses and the charity sector. With Martin’s leadership, we are looking forward to moving the charity to its next stage of development and having an even bigger impact on the communities of Cheshire and Warrington.”
