All delegates were presented with their certificates by the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire David Briggs for successfully completing the Cheshire Connect Leadership Programme for 2019. It was a huge success, strong relationships formed and key leadership skills and techniques were shared by our very own CEO Martin Howlett.

Cheshire Connect Lead, Learn & Access Programme

This programme is an eleven- month (eleven 2.5hr sessions) leadership development programme aimed at ‘aspiring leaders’. Delivered in eleven sessions on a monthly basis, the programme will be able to give professional peer support and learning opportunities that will inspire and develop strong leadership competencies. Delivered by business professionals and tainted with realism, leadership theory will be shown in different situations and skills will be developed based on real life examples from across the sectors.

Programme Focus

Strong leaders, real difference makers, and people who leave their mark on the world of the voluntary sector have one thing in common: they Inspire Success. They are the glue that holds an organisation together. For this reason, it’s important for all voluntary organisations to have effective leaders that can set goals, inspire others and guide their organisation to sustainable success. The Leadership Development Programme modules cover a variety of topics — such as leading strong teams and ethical leadership — that not only strengthen leaders’ confidence and capability, but equip them to build a culture of engagement where team members are confident with their abilities and enthusiastic to contribute.
