This amazing group of people from Warrington have kept their machines buzzing with funding from Cheshire Community Foundation and the Steve Morgan Foundation to make scrubs for local hospitals/hospices.
Cheshire Connect has been supporting the Burtonwood Sewing Group with their communications strategy and is proud to see how well they have adapted to support local hospitals and hospices.
They have provided nearly 300 much needed items to Warrington, Wrightington, Wigan & Leigh hospitals, Willowbrook Hospice, a GP Practice in Widnes and Westy Hall and Woodleigh Care Homes, Warrington.
It has been a fantastic team effort especially with the restrictions in place, with 38 men & women helping with the task.
Anne Carr (charity leader) said “It’s been a labour of love for all of us and it’s kept us together as a group. We cannot thank our funders enough for allowing us to work with good quality materials and haberdashery. The items have been well received and all made with love”!
