Leadership – Transform Programme

Community Recycle Cycles CIC is a non-profit organisation offering repairs, maintenance, and recycled bicycles for the local community at affordable prices. The charity also provides support and skills for the individuals working/volunteering in the bike workshop and customer service area.

The Community Recycle Cycles CIC was one of the first charitable organisations to join the Cheshire Connect Transform Programme (TP), to review the working of the charity and to plan a strategy for the future.

The Cheshire Connect Transform Programme was an ideal framework for the review, strategic development and implementation planning process to realise this ambition.

Cheshire Connect introduced a strategist to work with Annette Cormack, CEO, Community Re-cycle Cycles to analysis the work of the charity and develop a strategy. Following this, multiple skill donors were introduced to assist in delivering the strategy resulting in positive impacts for the future of organisation. Skills brought to the table to develop the new strategy included succession planning, space planning, health and safety and HR.

‘I feel very privileged to be part of the Cheshire Connect Transform Programme, the support, leadership training sessions and the high calibre of skill donors has enabled us to realise our long-term vision for Community Recycle Cycles, which is taking what we have been doing ‘day to day’ for the last 10 years, to whole new level. My passion lies in helping those individuals who wish to get back into a ‘work ready’ mode, in supportive and nurturing environment.’ Annette Cormack, Founder/Director
