David Briggs, who served as the Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire for 10 years established Cheshire Connect as a charity in 2013. We have been very successful in harnessing the skills of the business and professional community, connecting skilled individuals with charities and voluntary organisations in need of business expertise and all completely free of charge.

David’s motivation for establishing the charity stemmed from his extensive involvement in the voluntary sector and he recognised the need and the potential benefits of bridging the gap between the business and charitable sectors, he initiated Cheshire Connect to facilitate this collaboration.

As a charity we are incredibly grateful to David for his unwavering support as our Chair and inspiration.
